Everyday Tools for Every Muslim

What is TaqwaTools?

TaqwaTools is a free Islamic tools platform for the global Muslim community. From the five daily prayers to annual Zakat, from finding the Qibla in a new city to choosing an Islamic name for a newborn — every tool is built on a foundation of authenticity, accuracy, and care.

Why the name Taqwa?

Taqwa (تقوى) is the Arabic concept of God-consciousness — mindfulness of Allah in every action, every word, every decision. It appears in the Quran over 250 times. It is universally understood across every Muslim community on earth, from Pakistan and Bangladesh to Nigeria, Indonesia, Turkey and Bosnia. This is the spirit in which every tool is built: not as a commercial product, but as a genuine service to the Ummah.

Our approach to authenticity

Every dua on TaqwaTools comes from the authenticated hadith collections — Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami al-Tirmidhi, Sunan al-Nasai or Sunan Ibn Majah — with exact hadith numbers so users can verify independently at Sunnah.com. Prayer times use the Aladhan.com API with real astronomical calculations. Zakat rules are based on established scholarly consensus with references to Quranic verses.

We do not publish weak hadith as authentic. We do not present minority scholarly opinions as consensus. Where scholars genuinely differ — such as on Asr timing or Nisab calculation — we show both views and let users choose.

Privacy & data

TaqwaTools does not create user accounts, does not store your prayer location, and does not track your usage beyond basic anonymous analytics. Your GPS coordinates are sent directly to the Aladhan API to fetch prayer times and are never stored on our servers. Your Zakat calculations happen entirely in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
